What does gaming mean to you, and has it changed your life ...

As your playing as the United States Army, Russian Terrorists, or even as the lone stranger wondering the world on his own. A question I ask you today is, what is it about gaming that brings you closer towards it? What is it about gaming that no matter what people try, always makes us want to play more?

Is it possible that us gamers have created a world where games have taken over our lives. I do not believe that, one of the reason I believe it has taken a part of our lives is. The fact that gaming creates an imagination, creates a world inside of us, makes reality fall apart.Do movies make you feel like your main character in it. Have you ever watched Gladiator or as one of my favorites Black Hawk Down. As your watching the movie, you put yourself in the shoes of one of the characters, imagining the explosions, bullets flying past your head, swords banging against your shields. Well I can tell you from first had experience, I feel the same way when I play games. When I play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion or Fallout 3, I create a character that mirrors the image of myself. When I play the games, I do each and every quest or mission the way I would if it was real.

But that is just me, everyone has their own unique way of gaming. No matter what game they play, what type of genre the game is, or whatever it may be. Their is tons of people in this world who view gamers as a stereo type. They are killing their brain cells, fat, low-life, and has nothing going for them in their lives. I can?t explain how utterly wrong the way these people think. You do not even have to play video games to be a gamer. You can play board games, sports, chess, and the list can go on. In fact, you may be a gamer inside without even knowing. You may not be as into games as some of us, but you cannot say you do not enjoy playing a game every now and then. If you can, prove me wrong.

I ask myself, what does gaming mean to me and how has it changed my life? Gaming has indeed changed my life my friends. I may be a younger generation then some gamers, but I grew up getting my very first Nintendo for Christmas. The first time I played it, I knew from their on that I loved playing video games. I played from start to finish, paying attention to every detail, killing every enemy, completing every quest, and worst of all. Once I beat the game, I would play it again on a more difficult setting. I thought I was king of all games, that no matter how hard the game was. I was sure that I could beat anyone at playing game. As time went by, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, PlayStation, Xbox, PC, etc and even online multiplayer came out. Wow, and I thought I was good, their is tons of players online that can easily out beat me. Of course I could out beat a lot of other players too. It is amazing how much gaming and gamers have evolved to this day.

One of the coolest things I find in PC gaming is the ability to build your own computer, put your hard earned money into a machine that will run each game to its max performance and graphics. I believe that in order to play video games properly, you need the max graphical performance. I have to see almost all details of the game. Have you ever played a game such as Crysis? The graphics in that game are outstanding, you can see the textures of the sand, the wind blowing the trees so that they sway back and forth, the waves and particles in the water as fish and sea creatures swim around. Their is no one in this world that I wouldn?t recommend it to.

One reasons I find how gaming has changed my life is it simply keeps me entertained, and I am not alone. I have so many friends that I play with whether they are real life friends or online gaming buddies. I am not sure about you, but playing with a friend online in cooperative mode or just playing multiplayer is tons more fun than me playing by myself. I have to admit that their are some games I enjoy playing by myself, but the ability to still talk over Teamspeak or Ventrilo is awesome. It doesn?t mean I have to be in game with them, I can play a totally different game and still talk!

Another reason I can think of on how gaming has changed every gamers life is that gaming has brought us together in ways we can?t imagined it would 10 years ago. We are brought together by our experiences, by how much time we could waste while playing a game, and of course like normal. People still debate or argue over what ever the reason could be. But despite the reason, we all love to play games and that is the truth. Gaming has brought us more experiences, conversations, friends, and most of all. It makes us complete. I for one have never forgot what gaming means to me, have you?

After you?ve done reading this, I want you to sit down for a minute. Ask your self. What does gaming mean to you? How has it changed your life? What are your favorite gaming memories that will always make you love playing games.
