ClickSafety Offers Updated Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Training

New online course offers 2013 training updates, including latest information, processes and procedures for professionals working with or exposed to safety and health hazards and hazardous substances.

Walnut Creek, CA (PRWEB) December 19, 2012

ClickSafety, a leading provider of online safety training, today introduced its online Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) 8-Hour Refresher 2013 course. This training provides an annual update to the concepts learned in the HAZWOPER 24-hour and 40-hour certification training courses.

Designed to meet the requirements specified in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, which includes eight hours of review and update training on a yearly basis, the course is intended for site workers handling or exposed to safety and health hazards and hazardous substances. The course provides updates for 2013 as well as a look back at 2012.

The HAZWOPER 8-Hour Refresher is especially relevant for professionals including general site workers, such as equipment operators, general laborers, and supervisors, as well as those whose jobs may include activities such as ground water monitoring, land surveying, or geo-physical surveying. On-site managers and supervisors who oversee employees engaged in hazardous waste operations will also benefit from the updated information.

?Helping employers and workers stay current with OSHA guidelines and requirements is one of the key ways we can help ensure the safety of those working with hazardous materials,? said Brian Tonry, ClickSafety executive vice president and general manager.
